Youth Field Organizer
We are seeking a motivated and self-directed Part-Time Youth Field Organizer to expand and strengthen NCAAT youth civic engagement efforts in Greensboro and Charlotte. The youth field organizer will be working under the supervision of the Youth Engagement Director. This role will play a key part in growing youth membership, supporting campus organizing, and increasing nonpartisan voter participation among AAPI and broader youth communities.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and passionate about youth leadership and civic engagement. Preference will be given to candidates who are not currently enrolled in school and have flexible daytime availability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Targeted Youth Outreach
- Conduct weekly outreach (tabling, classroom presentations, student org visits) in outside of the triangle areas.
- Recruit new youth members and support follow-up engagement.
- Represent the organization at select campus and community events.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for youth members in assigned regions.
2. Relationship Building and Campus Engagement Support
- Build and maintain working relationships with key student organizations and campus contacts.
- Assist with implementing campus-based voter engagement activities.
- Support and check in with student ambassadors, student leaders and campus partners.
- Help coordinate logistics for on-campus events and workshops.
3. Voter Registration Coordination
- Support youth voter registration drives, including:
- Distribution and collection of voter registration forms across campuses
- Timely drop-off and compliance tracking
- Working closely with campus ambassadors to coordinate voter registration drives and pledge-to-vote cards collection
- Ensure all voter engagement efforts remain nonpartisan and compliant.
4. Reporting & Communication
- Track weekly outreach and engagement metrics.
- Submit brief weekly campus engagement reports to the Youth Engagement Director.
- Participate in regular check-ins and planning meetings.
