Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000 with benefits
Location: Main office in Raleigh, NC (hybrid: 2 days in office / 3 remote). Occasional travel across North Carolina required.

Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and well-coordinated day-to-day operations of NCAAT and NCAAT in Action. This role oversees organizational systems, office operations, event logistics, technology infrastructure, vendor relationships, and operational onboarding processes across the organization.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance & Administration, the Operations Manager serves as a central operational leader and problem-solver, supporting staff across departments while maintaining consistent systems, workflows, and standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee day-to-day operational systems to ensure efficiency, consistency, and responsiveness across the organization.
- Manage the organization-wide office calendar to coordinate meetings, events, deadlines, and space usage, including onsite and offsite storage/inventory.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the general organizational email and incoming call routing.
- Coordinate organization-wide travel logistics, including bookings and itineraries for staff and leadership.
- Maintain office supplies, snacks, and shared resources to support staff needs.
- Support accounts payable processes in coordination with the Finance team, including invoice tracking and vendor payments.
- Support internship and fellowship programs as needed.
Technology & Information Systems
- Manage and maintain organizational tools and platforms, including Asana, Slack, Tea House (intranet), Google Workspace, and related systems.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for IT vendors and technology support.
- Troubleshoot basic technology issues and escalate more complex issues as needed.
- Ensure staff have appropriate access to systems, software, and tools required for their roles.
- Lead technology access for employee onboarding and offboarding, in coordination with Human Resources.
- Manage technology access and setup for contractors, consultants, interns, and fellows.
Event Logistics & Events Team Management
- Lead logistical planning and execution for organization-wide events, including community events, political programming, and celebrations.
- Manage the Events Team, setting clear expectations, timelines, and accountability for event planning and execution.
- Coordinate event logistics such as venues, vendors, materials, technology needs, food, and accessibility considerations.
- Ensure events align with organizational values, budget parameters, and operational standards.
Facilities & Vendor Management
- Manage facilities for the Raleigh office and provide operational support for the Charlotte office as needed.
- Oversee office maintenance, cleaning schedules, storage needs, and landlord relations (including the Junior League of Raleigh).
- Serve as the primary liaison for vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Finance & Administration, negotiate and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.

Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, administration, or nonprofit management.
- Demonstrated experience with event logistics, facilities management, or vendor coordination.
- Strong familiarity with workplace technology tools (e.g., Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, intranet platforms).
- Proven ability to build and maintain systems that support organizational effectiveness.
- High level of organizational skill, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness.
- Basic skills in any Asian language are a plus.
Additional Expectations
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for organizational events.
- Willingness to travel to Charlotte or other North Carolina locations as needed.
